    Exploratory call

You’ve read something, heard us speak, found our website and want to learn more. It starts with a complimentary phone call with an advisor. There is no time limit on this call – it’s for you to ask questions and see if we are a good fit. No one plan is the same and there isn’t one path to getting the information you need to learn about Old Peak Finance.

    Pre-kick off

Once you decide to move forward, we send you a client agreement and related documents. We also send a list of the information we need – taxes, estate planning documents, insurance policies, etc.

    Kick-off

We cover the basics: your goals and your current situation. We seek to understand your relationship with money, your views on risk and your values. We may also cover logistics, like how to use our secure client portal and completing forms to open and transfer investment accounts.

    Assumptions meeting

We review key assumptions created based on our previous discussions and review of your information. These include when you will retire, the cost of other financial goals like a second home or large gifts, projected income until retirement and annual spending.

    Financial plan review

We will send the plan in advance. Then we will meet to discuss our conclusions. Most importantly, we highlight changes we suggest you make now or over time, to maximize the likelihood you will achieve your financial goals.

    Investing meeting

We present our investment philosophy and discuss a proposed portfolio. Each client has a unique portfolio, and it may take several discussions to agree on a plan that fits your goals and risk profile.

    Implement

Depending on your plan, there may be follow-up calls and activities for investing, insurance, estate planning or other areas of your financial life. We will participate fully, including working closely with your attorney, CPA, insurance agent or other specialist.

    Periodic outreach

This is based on your preferences. We call as often or as little as you would like and need. It is at least, every 3-6 months, to understand if any changes in your life require adjustments to your financial plan. Of course, you can call us anytime with questions, comments or to check in.
