We are pleased to share good news from the Old Peak Finance team.

New Faces

Laura Borowski joined us earlier this year as a client service associate. Laura has a psychology degree from North Carolina Central University. She has an extensive background in nonprofit mental health and substance abuse treatment and has worked with local outreach programs and agencies.

Danielle Hochstetter joined us earlier this year as a financial planning associate. Danielle was previously with a financial planning firm in California and relocated to the NC triangle. She passed the CFP® exam and is completing the 2-year experience requirement. A Mandarin Chinese speaker, Danielle lived in China for six years studying the language and tea science, and she subsequently became a tea buyer.

MaryAnne Gucciardi, a financial advisor, recently earned her certificate as a Retirement Income Certified Professional®. The RICP® designation involves a deep dive into coursework focused on the financial issues impacting retirees, including Social Security and Medicare, tax-efficient strategies for generating income streams from retirement and investment accounts, retirement community planning (CCRCs), aging-in-place, long-term care insurance, and annuities.

Katie Villegas, a financial advisor, recently earned her MBA degree through Bluffton University. The 2-year program is a collaboration between four universities and focuses on the triple bottom line -- People, Planet, Profit -- to create strong organizations and healthy communities in a global economy. Katie previously earned her CSRIC® designation as a Chartered SRI Counselor℠, a designation for professionals focused on sustainable, responsible and impact investments.

Johanna Hammond, a client service associate, gave birth to her third daughter this fall. Johanna reports that the big sisters are smitten with their baby sister, while baby sister spoils the big sisters with lots of gummy smiles.

Congratulations to all!
